Andrea is an experienced economic development practitioner and project manager and has supported companies in the Highlands and Islands of Scotland for 15 years.
Andrea currently supports life sciences companies in aquaculture, animal health, biotech and agri-tech sectors to grow and become more sustainable.
She has experience as a researcher, and in supporting small and large businesses in areas of entrepreneurship, trade and inward investment and graduate recruitment.
Andrea co-chairs the Life Sciences Scotland Industry Leadership Group working group on aquaculture, animal health and agri-tech, developing and delivering national projects and stakeholder relationships.
Andrea has a PhD in Biomedical Research from the University of Dundee, and MSci in Biology from Universität Würzburg (Germany) and is an active STEM Ambassador. She holds a Professional Certificate in Marketing from Cambridge Marketing College and a qualification in Science Writing from the German School for Professional Journalists. She completed Entrepreneurship Development Programme at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), alongside a group of Scottish businesses in 2019.
