Nutrition Analytical Service (NAS), uses the scientific expertise of the University of Stirling’s internationally renowned Institute of Aquaculture to offer a range of nutritional analytical advice and analysis to the aquafeed, fish farming and processing, agricultural and food producing sectors as well as the human health sector. The purpose of the work we do at NAS is to ensure that businesses know what the nutritional value of their products is, for optimal health outcomes in both animals and humans.
NAS supplies a Scottish and International customer base. Our current customer list contains over 43 organisations from across the globe with 20 international core customers using the service and providing samples on a weekly to monthly basis. NAS has achieved the prestigious Approved Chemist status from the American Oil Chemist Society (AOCS) for Marine Oil Fatty Acid Profile analysis. NAS is dedicated to maintaining high standards and, as a result, implementing a quality management system consistent with the requirements set out in ISO/IEC 17025:2017 ‘General requirements for the competence of testing and calibration laboratories’ and working towards accreditation from the United Kingdom Accreditation Service (UKAS) in 2024.
