Simon Pearson is Professor of Agri-Food Technology and Head of the School at the University of Lincoln. His research group focuses on the development of agri-robotics and AI solutions for the agri-food chain. He was co-chair of the Defra Automation and Robotics Review for Horticulture, advisory group chair of the £100M Innovate UK Bridge AI program and lead for the £5M EPSRC Lincam Place based impact acceleration program. He is helped create two spin out companies prior to joining Lincoln worked in industry for Marks and Spencer plc and running a farming company.
