Mark is the Director of Biomathematics and Statistics Scotland (BioSS)
His scientific research into Bayesian Modelling has found applications in ecology, environmental science, forensics and food science. Mark acted as advisor to New Zealand government on manuka honey export regulations, and has served as a statistical expert witness in several criminal trials.
