Helen Sweeney is a member of the AgriFood team at Innovate UK. Helen is the UK National Contact Point for Horizon Europe Cluster 6: Food, Bioeconomy, Natural Resources Agriculture and Environment. In this role Helen promotes and supports UK organisations to access collaborative EU Research and Innovation funding through the Horizon Europe Framework Programme.
Before joining Innovate UK, Helen worked in the UK AgriFood sector for over 25 years. Her experience covers a wide range of expertise ranging from farm based agricultural and environmental advisory roles to regional and national policy work with Defra and its agencies.
