Dr Jorge Rivera Gomis is a veterinary surgeon with a PhD in antimicrobial resistance and alternatives to antimicrobials in animal production, and a resident of the European College of Veterinary Public Health (ECVPH). He has worked as a researcher in multiple projects, including direct collaborations with animal production companies and international scientific networks. He currently works at the Veterinary Surveillance Intelligence Unit (VSIU) at Scotland’s Rural College (SRUC) on the development of disease surveillance systems with applications to support businesses through improvement of animal health and production.
