Dan Smith

Dan Smith

Research Fellow, University of Aberdeen
Dr Dan Smith is a research fellow at the Scottish Biologics Facility, University of Aberdeen.  Part of a highly experienced team, Dan heads up the development of novel, recombinant antibodies to cyanotoxins responsible for the contamination of shellfish and drinking water.  Leveraging 10 years’ experience in biotech and a keen interest in translational research, Dan is driving the commercial development of a series of lateral flow tests for cyanotoxin detection under a spin out business; IgAquatics.
