With 25 years of experience in the aquaculture sector, Thomas Janssens has a proven track record in fish production. He has held management positions in fish hatcheries and on-growing farms across Europe, overseeing production of Cod, Sole, and Perch. Since joining the Bern University of Applied Sciences in 2016, as head of the Aquaforum competence center, he has developed several training courses. The research group he leads is dedicated to investigating critical aspects of nutrition and welfare, contributing to the sustainable and ethical development of the aquaculture industry.
